A Lancashire-based interiors business has expanded with the opening of its second Lake District store.
FAB Interiors, which operates stores in Blackpool – where the business is also based – Lytham, Poulton and Bowness, has opened the new store at Plantation Bridge, Kendal.
The business was founded around six years ago by brothers Gavin and Scott Jones, using experience gained working within their family’s retail wallpaper business to create the successful brand.
It has built a reputation for selling quirky interiors and unique home accessories, particularly artwork, and now employs around 80 people across the company.
Plans are also in the pipeline for developing the Kendal site to include a coffee shop and outdoor area.
Gavin and Scott were advised by the Commercial Property team at Napthens solicitors, based in Bridge Mills in Kendal, led by partner and head of Real Estate, Jamie Allison, and solicitor Lucy Benton.
Jamie said: “Thanks to the dedication and hard work of Gavin and Scott, FAB has built a brand with a great reputation across the region for being at the forefront of the interiors market. They have the eye in their sector.
“The new location really is a busy gateway to the Lake District, and I’m sure will quickly become as successful as FAB’s other sites.”
Gavin said: “We have looked at the building for several years, after noticing it on journeys to and from the Lake District – especially after we had opened in Bowness. When the building became available we knew it would make an ideal location for another FAB Interiors shop.
“With Napthens’ support, we worked hard to secure the building, and we have plans to develop the site further in coming months.”
