A Nelson company has been praised for cost savings made for fellow local businesses by Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson.
Andrew took time out of his busy schedule to visit Businesswise Solutions, a specialist in utility procurement and management, to talk about its successes of 2015 and find out what it has in store for this year. What particularly captured his interest was Businesswise Solutions’ work with the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce; where members have saved hundreds of thousands of pounds on energy through an exclusive buying group this year.
Frazer Durris, managing director of Businesswise Solutions, said: “We are really passionate about the area where we live and work and want to see other businesses doing well.“Helping Chamber members save money on their utility bills enables them to direct spend into other areas of their businesses; it makes perfect sense.”
A new programme of gas buying launched by Businesswise in October has seen it drive down costs even further for members and other businesses in Lancashire and beyond.Andrew said: “Businesswise identified a unique way in which they could help local businesses reduce costs and drive efficiencies and the results to date are staggering.
“The company has benefitted from money from the Lancashire Growth Fund this year which, after speaking with Frazer, I have learned has contributed towards a bespoke utility portal which will ensure further big savings for clients in 2016 and beyond.” “I am always looking to support Pendle businesses whenever I can and it is always good to hear of their successes and plans for further recruitment of talent from the local area.”
