Following on from the hugely successful 500,000-selling ‘Darts Match’, full-service digital agency Motionlab is now hoping to corner the Christmas mobile gaming market with their second major mobile offering; ‘Chuck Saves Christmas’.
Launched in time for the festive season for Android, Amazon and Windows Phone, it features the central character of ‘Chuck’ the elf who after falling asleep guarding Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve must recapture the presents stolen by the sneaky snowmaniacs.Navigating Chuck through the 22 levels of Naughty Land, users have to put their accuracy skills to the test and rely upon Chuck’s trusty snowball catapult using a simple ‘pull and release’ mechanism to launch snowballs at the elusive snowmaniacs to uncover all the gifts and save Christmas.
The agency’s specialist app and game development division, Motionlab Interactive, utilised the powerful Unity 3D engine to build the application. An in-app purchase is available for the removal of adverts.User scores can also be shared via Facebook with the firm intending to reward the highest scoring festive flinger in the New Year.
Motionlab’s head of apps, Alan I’Anson said: “Following the phenomenal success of our debut launch ‘Darts Match’ we were eager to show that is was no fluke and fully expect that this second effort will further enhance Motionlab Interactive’s reputation as a major new player within the highly competitive mobile gaming field. “Whilst ‘Chuck Saves Christmas’ is an entirely different proposition to our last release it should equally appeal to gamers and become a real festive favourite with family members young and old over the Christmas period and beyond.”Enjoyed this?
