Bosses at Morrisons, Colne, ate an assortment of stomach-churning animal parts as part of a bush tucker trial and raised more than £500 for Pendleside Hospice.
Seven staff worked their way through pigs’ testicles, pigs’ eyes and cows’ lips as part of a “I’m A Manager Get Me Out Of Here!” fundraiser.
They were following in the footsteps of Pendleside ambassador and Radio One host Jordan North who won over the nation’s hearts when he came second in the last series of ITV’s “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!”.
The winning Morrisons’ manager was Jamie Sanderson. The event was part of Morrisons team’s efforts in the Pendleside MEGA Raiseathon summer challenge.
Christina Cope, Pendleside’s head of corporate fundraising said: “I think it’s the first time people have eaten pigs’ testicles in aid of the hospice! I would like to thank everyone at Morrisons for supporting the MEGA Raiseathon.
