A team of 31 supporters has returned from a ten-day trip to The Great Wall of China, having raised £86,000 net profit for St John’s Hospice in Lancaster.
One week later, they reached the end of their journey with a group photo on the wall and a celebratory glass of Chinese champagne. Before leaving Beijing, the group took time to visit a hospice; a poignant end to a wonderful journey.
St. John’s Hospice has been supporting patients, families and the wider community in North Lancashire and the South Lakes since 1986. Serving a population of over 250,000 people, they are specialists in palliative care for a wide range of life limiting conditions.
