North West accountancy and business advisory firm Moore and Smalley has signed up to a new global network to assist its clients that have business interests abroad.
The firm has become an independent member of Baker Tilly International which will give it access to experts from member firms in 137 countries worldwide. The move means that Moore and Smalley can call on specific business and financial expertise ‘on the ground’ in foreign jurisdictions.
Moore and Smalley has joined the network as part of its membership of MHA, the UK-wide association of nine independent accountancy firms. MHA was previously part of the international association of accountancy firms Morison International.Graham Gordon, managing partner of Moore and Smalley, said: “We have many clients that either already have business operations and property interests on foreign shores, or are looking to open up new export markets or enter into joint ventures overseas.
“We’re seeing more businesses in the North West seek out international opportunities and by being able to call on an extensive network of business contacts across the globe, we can turn these opportunities into reality.“Being an independent member of this international network doubles the reach we had under our previous network and takes us into many new territories.”
Baker Tilly International is the world’s 8th largest network of independent accounting and business advisory firms, by combined fee income of its independent members.
