Lancaster-based Miralis Data has appointed Judith Halkerston as chair of its board.
Judith has an extensive history in the tech sector, having previously worked for BT, Logica and Steria. In recent years, she has worked in non-executive board-level roles supporting and accelerating growth in technology companies such as Ntegra, Symphonic Software and OnGen.
Last year, she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to the UK’s digital economy.
At Miralis, she will support chief executive Michael Gibson and the board as they work to see its Fuuse platform, which recently secured £1.7m funding, become the electric vehicle charge point management system of choice.
Judith said: "I am delighted to join Miralis as they embark on this exciting next chapter, and the journey poses a fresh challenge for me too. It’s rare to join a thriving start up where all the leads are inbound, so our focus will be ensuring we identify and prioritise the right opportunities at the right time.
"There is clearly a very large appetite for Fuuse, and together with the foundations of a passionate team, and the backing and support of investors and fellow entrepreneurs, there is a real opportunity for Fuuse to become a household name amongst fleets, installers and the public."
Michael Gibson added: "It is an honour to welcome Judith to the team and work with her to take Fuuse to the success we know can be achieved. Judith comes with an incredible record of achievement and we couldn’t be more delighted and eager to learn from her expertise.
"This is another big step in our journey. With our successes to date, and the demand for Fuuse growing rapidly across sectors, the timing is perfect to utilise all the support Judith has to offer, and to help make Fuuse a core player in the UK’s EV revolution."
