Did you know? Here at True Bearing we have a Legal Services team who are ready to help you with all aspects of Wills, Trusts, Legacy Planning and Power Of Attorney? The team comprises two Legal Intermediaries who bring with them a wealth of legal knowledge and life experience that makes them perfectly placed to assist with these complex and often emotional legal matters.
What is a Legal Intermediary?
A Legal Intermediary is an individual who has undergone a programme of intensive training to become qualified to advise on a range of legal matters. There are many benefits to dealing with a Legal Intermediary. It means you are dealing with a single point of contact, making the process simple and stress free. Having a professional legal adviser with you every step of the way, completing important documents for your paperwork can reduce errors and keep overall costs down.
Diane Bush
Diane spent many years working for the Department of Work and Pensions, advising on benefits. She then worked freelance for True Bearing facilitating our Pre-Retirement Workshops, before seizing the opportunity to join the Legal Services team in 2015. Six years later she is still loving it and says:
“I enjoy meeting my clients, getting to know their families, and understanding what is important to them. I am then able to guide them as to how their wishes can come to fruition when they are no longer here. Once the case is finalised and all the legal documents are completed and signed off, I can then walk away knowing that everything they hope to happen will happen. The satisfaction is all about giving my clients “peace of mind” for the future”.
Mark Peary
Mark joined True Bearing as a Legal Intermediary in 2018 after a 30-year career in the police service. This background along with proven counselling skills and a teaching qualification made him the perfect choice as the Legal Intermediary role also includes presenting at our Pre-Retirement Workshops. He was most attracted to the role because he wanted to work directly with clients, creating a tailor-made solution for them and their families.
Mark says: “My favourite part of the role is the personal interaction with the clients and being able to offer them best advice and guidance regarding their legacy planning. I have a long history of working directly with people in helping roles, after I left the police, I undertook Counselling qualifications and volunteered with Cruse Bereavement Care helping bereaved people to understand and deal with their grief.”
