MBO at Marsden Rawsthorn

Marsden Rawsthorn LLP has been acquired by Marsden Rawsthorn Solicitors Limited, a new company led by the former partner group, in a deal that secures all 80 jobs at the Preston and Chorley-based firm.

Paul Flint and Brian Green of KPMG’s North West Restructuring team were appointed Joint Administrators of Marsden Rawsthorn LLP on 20 February 2013. On appointment, the Administrators sold the business and its assets to Marsden Rawsthorn Solicitors Limited.

Marsden Rawsthorn offers expertise in all aspects of law including business & commerce, property, dispute resolution, family law and wills & administration of estates.

Debbie Pettitt, chief executive of Marsden Rawsthorn Solicitors Ltd, said: “The restructure provides excellent opportunity for growth and is in line with our strategic development plans.

“Operations are unaffected and we continue to provide our clients with the same outstanding service as before.”

In January, the company joined forces with Torquil Clark, Independent Financial Advisers, to launch Marsden Rawsthorn Wealth Management Ltd, becoming the first solicitors in the region to offer such a service.

The company also recently expanded its team following growth in the business, with a number of appointments and promotions across divisions.
