If you remember 1998 then you will know that it was an amazing year for computing. It was the year that Google filed for incorporation,Windows 98 was officially launched, Apple introduced the iMac and Nybble opened its doors for the first time in Blackburn.
The early origins of Nybble were as an IT retailer on Darwen St, selling PCs and peripherals. Very quickly the business began to evolve under the guidance of Ram Gupta and soon Nybble began to provide IT services, consultancy, and support to an ever-growing client base.
Fast forward to 2023 and Nybble is now regarded as one of the success stories of Blackburn. Well regarded for supporting the businesses and community. Nybble and managing director Ram Gupta have been awarded a host of awards for their professional work and for their commitment to charities and worthy causes.
To mark the beginning of Nybble's 25th anniversary year celebrations they were honoured to host a VIP visit from the mayor and mayoress of Blackburn with Darwen. The visit included a tour of the revamped Nybble showroom where the mayor and mayoress were given demonstrations of the latest digital signage technology. This was followed by an introduction to the full Nybble team and a behind the scenes look at a day in the life of Nybble.
Managing director of Nybble, Ram Gupta, commented: "We are so proud to have the mayor and mayoress with us today to share this milestone of 25 years in business.
"It is very humbling to look back at where we started and to see the difference that Nybble has made to everyone connected to us, including our team and the Blackburn community.
"Our aim was always to be a business with a social conscience, and we are proud to be recognised for our commitment to that aim. I cannot believe where the last 25 years have gone."
The mayors visit was rounded off with a small presentation and donation to the mayors charities for 2023.
