JD Engineering has been recognised at the MAKE UK (North West) Awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Preston by finishing runner up in the Manufacturing Matters Award 2021.
This award has been developed to recognise a company that demonstrates exceptional adaptability and resilience to impact their business and improve lives and society.This year MAKE UK was specifically focused on manufacturing companies who demonstrated a positive societal impact as a result of their practices and/or products. They were looking for inspiring stories from UK manufacturers who had supported or enhanced their local community, network, or environment.
JD Engineering was part of network that distributed tonnes of food at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, 3D printed ventilator valve parts free of charge and provided NHS staff ear protectors to wear with face masks.
