The Lancaster and Morecambe region has the best opportunity in a generation to realise its full potential.
That’s according to Brett Cooper, who heads up the Lancaster office of leading Lancashire and Cumbria law firm Harrison Drury. The firm has witnessed rapid growth since it opened an office in the city in 2014 in a bid to further strengthen the region’s professional services sector.
Now it wants to help businesses tap into the opportunities provided by the Bay Gateway project.“The Bay Gateway is a game changer for the region,” explains Brett. “The potential is huge, but we need to ensure we’re not still talking about potential in another five or ten years’ time.
“Opening up the port at Heysham, reducing journey times and making the motorway network more accessible. These are all major benefits that should make the region an attractive proposition for inward investment and new industrial and commercial infrastructure.”
Having expanded its own team in the region, Harrison Drury is well placed to help businesses make the most of these new found opportunities.“Over the last three years, we have brought a wide range of legal expertise into the city,” adds Brett. “This includes one of the most experienced commercial property teams in the region. We also have the full weight of our Preston hub behind us which means we can offer businesses and business owners a complete service.”
