Ever noticed how a reet good sign can make a street come alive? That's exactly what happened when we helped our mate Emma bring Chic Bloom to life in Accrington town centre.
From a blank shop front on Abbey Street, crying out for something special, Emma had this vision of creating the town's most stylish boutique, and she needed a sign that would stop traffic (metaphorically, of course - we're not about causing chaos in Accrington).
We didn't just slap up any old sign. This was about capturing the essence of what Chic Bloom stands for - elegant, modern, and properly Lancashire. The design process was a great collaboration, with every detail considered to make sure it would turn heads for all the right reasons.
9am Monday morning and our installation team was already brewing up, ready to transform the shopfront. There's something super exciting about installation day - that moment when everything comes together and the street starts to look different.
"I couldn't believe how smooth it all went," says Emma Keatley, owner of Chic Bloom. "The lads from StopPress didn't just install a sign - they helped bring my dream to life. The number of people who've stopped to comment on how it's transformed this bit of our street has been brilliant. It's exactly what I wanted - something that makes a statement but still feels welcoming."
This wasn't just about hanging up some letters. It was about helping another local business make its mark. Every measurement, every material choice, every tiny detail was thought through to make sure it would look spot on.
The result? A sign that's already becoming a bit of a local talking point. It's modern without being flashy, stylish without being stuck up - just like Chic Bloom itself.
