A line-up of international music acts attracted record attendances during this year's five-day Lytham Festival.
A total of 100,000 visited the event, with sell-out crowds of 22,500 for both the Sting and Def Leppard/Mötley Crüe concerts.
Other acts which appeared across the week included Jamiroquai, George Ezra, Lionel Richie, Blondie, Kaiser Chiefs and Gabrielle.
Peter Taylor, festival co-founder, said: “What an incredible five days we have had. Twenty artists have graced our stage and we are thrilled with the success of this year’s festival, it has been phenomenal.
“We increased our capacity to 22,500 for both Sting and Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe making both nights our biggest ever and we are delighted with how successful they were. The positive feedback from both customers and artists has been humbling and when you are welcoming global icons to your hometown that is very special indeed."
Local digital radio station Coastal Radio provided 60 hours of live radio from the festival.
Starting on Wednesday drivetime with presenters Hayley Tamaddon and Dan Whiston, Coastal had live programming through till midnight including local travel news for festival goers.
The station also provided the DJs for the garden area and the main arena with their resident Saturday night/ Sunday afternoon pairing Sam and Aish (Bellez of the Ball / Her House) who warmed up the crowds between the acts from 5pm until the headline act took to the stage.
Owner and founder Paula Davies said “This was a massive event for a newly formed radio station which is less than a year old, to provide such coverage to the scale we did and at an event as iconic as Lytham Festival was such a proud moment for me and the team."
Plans are now underway for Lytham Festival 2024 which will return for five nights from Wednesday July 03 to Sunday July 07.
