The buzz surrounding the debut of Printworks’ latest marvel, the centrepiece digital ceiling screen, has likely caught your attention. This ground-breaking display showcases bespoke creative content and special effects, illuminating the venue’s internal streets from dawn to dusk. Covering an impressive 1,000 square meters, this digital ceiling screen is the largest in Europe and was supplied by ADI of Preston.
As part of the upgrades, Lustalux (also Preston-based) provided the newly designed gateway entrances and public realm upgrades, adding to the sense of arrival and aesthetic enhancements to the period façade.
Despite being a non-designated heritage asset, the building has undergone substantial enhancements. Specialised Sto glass cladding now adorns its interior walls, elevating the immersive experience. Additionally, gateway entrances have been introduced, accompanied by major improvements to the public realm and the external facade.
Ben Haller, representing DTZ Investors, expresses his admiration for the transformation: “This metamorphosis sets a new standard and revolutionises the UK leisure sector. Creating something truly distinctive at Printworks ensures a lasting impression on both domestic and international visitors. Advancements in technology have played a pivotal role in this evolution, empowering the Printworks brand to maintain its position at the forefront of UK leisure.
