In 2009 Danielle Robinson wasn't phased by the fact that the UK was in the midst of a crippling recession with well-known retail chains like Woolworths going in to administration.
Instead she took advantage of the fact that she’d been made redundant herself and grasped the opportunity to set up a business supplying specialist Promotional Products to the Lancashire business community.Five years later Love to Brand has now propelled itself in to the top 10% of promotional product distributors in the UK. Boasting a sought after client list including local companies such as Manchester United FC, through to high profile global brands like Stella McCartney and Gore-tex.
The company is growing year on year, and considering they started their maiden voyage during a tough recession, the future still looks bright.Within their first 5 years they won ‘New Business of the Year’ at the NWSCA Awards and the Downtown Lancashire Business Awards in 2011, and were shortlisted for ‘Best New Business’ at the Red Rose Awards and the BIBAs in the same year. Most recently the team were shortlisted for ‘Creative Business’ in 2014 at the Red Rose Awards, whilst also supporting the evening in a sponsorship capacity for a couple of years running with the ‘Love To Brand Photo Booth.’
The company moved into newly refurbished offices in the centre of Clitheroe to lead the way for their further expansion plans throughout 2014/15.To thank their loyal customers for helping the company get to this amazing 5th Birthday milestone, she wanted to give something back and has selected a local charity to raise funds for as part of their birthday celebrations.
For every order placed in July, Love to Brand is donating 5 items of food, drink or hygiene products to the Ribble Valley Food Bank. This local charity works throughout the Ribble Valley distributing donated items to individuals and families in crisis. The products given by Love To Brand will be selected from the charity’s wish-list and these supplies include much needed items such as tinned food, nappies, washing powder and milk; everyday items that can often be taken for granted until people find themselves in difficult circumstances.Over the past year, the food bank has distributed more than 33,000 items of food to people in need and we want to help.
Ruth Haldane, the Food Bank Manager said: “We’re delighted that Love to Brand has selected our charity to support us as part of their 5 year birthday celebrations."“I’m really pleased that we've been able to find such a great local charity to support, and will hopefully be able to raise awareness of the work that they do which is often overlooked. Being in a position to give back to the community in light of our success makes me very proud indeed," said Danielle Robinson.
