Charlie Dean Interiors has seen a sharp increase in demand for its kitchen and bathroom design services since the coronavirus pandemic began.
The Preston firm will record 40 per cent higher turnover in the final six months of 2020 than over the entire financial year before it.
To comply with social distancing guidelines, the husband-and-wife run team has used video calls and 3D renders for the early stages of the process, and carefully managing small teams for the on-site build and installation.
Dean Sanderson, director, said: "Our business is booming at the moment and I can only put it down to the fact that people have been in their homes a lot more in the last six to eight months - perhaps looking at their kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and deciding that they want something new or updated.
"In the space of a few months we’ve gone from worrying if our business will survive to being the busiest we’ve ever been."
