Excited school children from Padiham geared up to learn about transportation, as a local rescue and recovery company paid them a visit.
John Macadam and Son visited the reception class at Padiham Primary School to talk about transport and the different ways to travel from one place to another.Martin Pennington, recovery technician at the Colne depot, said: “I really enjoyed taking the session, it was a pleasure to educate and inspire the young children.
“My daughter is in the reception class, so she was thrilled when I visited the class. The children listened attentively, asked questions and were really excited when they were given the chance to take a look around the prestige movement truck vehicle which I brought with me.”Transport is a key part of the curriculum and so the visit from Macadam was a hands on way to educate the children.
Miss Wilson, reception teacher at Padiham Primary School said: “We can’t thank Martin from John Macadam and Son enough; the children really enjoyed the session and were particularly excited with the vehicle he brought in. “We’re always keen to work with local companies, and are looking forward to repeating the visit next year, with the new reception class.”
