A wellbeing Farm and wedding venue, where the star attraction is llamas in bow ties, had a visit from Rossendale and Darwen MP Andy McNae earlier this week.
The Labour MP visited The Wellbeing Farm in Edgworth, Bolton - a fun event venue known for its quirky llama weddings - to meet with the founder of the B-Corp enterprise, Celia Gaze.
He was interested to hear about the challenges facing the tourism and hospitality industry and was impressed by Celia’s innovative approach to sustainability and helping businesses thrive.
He said: "We have so many great innovative businesses in Rossendale and Darwen and one of the best aspects of my job is being able to see them in action and hear their stories.
“This is especially true where llamas are involved. It was great to meet Celia to hear her exciting plans going forward and discuss them in the context of the Government's growth and net zero agendas."
Celia said: “I appreciate Andy taking the time to understand the challenges facing the hospitality industry right now – it was a great discussion.”
March is B Corp month and The Wellbeing Farm is passionate about inspiring other businesses to help transform the economic system for the better.
The farm was one of the first wedding venues to become B-Corp certified in March 2022, and meets the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
Celia's own journey to wellbeing and llamas started when suffered burnout while working in the NHS and decided to take her life in a new direction.
