In 2014/15 stress accounted for 43 per cent of all working days lost due to ill health ad over £25bn is lost in the UK each year due to unmanaged stress and mental health conditions in the workplace.
With these statistics in mind , Lancashire Mind are about to launch Lancashire's only Mentally Healthy Workforce Forum. With 86 per cent of employees believing their performance is linked to their mood employers are recognising that building resilience in their staff will lead to fewer absences and lead to increased staff retention, motivation and productivity.The forum aims to bring together like minded organisations to lead the way in promoting mentally healthy workplaces across the region, sharing good practice and influencing local policy. Through prioritising mental health in the workplace, together, you can achieve Lancashire Mind's vision of 'mental wellbeing for all'. The forum's inaugural meeting will take place at Chorley Town Hall on 30 June 2016.
