This year Simon donated his songwriting contest prize of £500 to the hospice who provide physical, psychological and spiritual support for children and their families from Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre area.
Michelle Lonican, community and corporate team leader at Brian House, said: “Simon’s support for Brian House spans over a decade, and we are so grateful that he has chosen to donate his winning song money from the Last Choir Singing to our children’s hospice.
“We know how much our own local schools get out of taking part in the competition, and it’s fabulous news that for the second year running they will join other school choirs from across the region to sing a song penned by our local man Simon.
“We’re thankful for the ongoing support from True Bearing, and look forward to working with them in the future.”
You can hear Simon’s niece, Sophie Cox, sing ‘Believe’ on YouTube, with the rap performed by Blackpool and Fylde College music student, Michael Kadenge.
