You can create a unique and lasting legacy through leaving a gift in your will, helping to make a difference to your local community.
Giving by will – how does it work?
Choose a range of options:
Supporting the Community Foundation: By simply naming the Community Foundation for Lancashire as the beneficiary of your gift, you provide us with the flexibility to support a wide variety of important causes and respond to changing needs in the future.
We guarantee to use your gift in the most effective way to improve the lives or our communities in Lancashire.
Supporting a themed fund: You could choose to support an existing fund, such as the Lancashire Red Rose Fund, which exists to support the mental health and well-being of people across the county, or the Lancashire Women’s Fund, which helps remove barriers that prevent helping women and girls achieving their full potential.
Creating your own named fund: If you have a cause close to your heart, we can help you to develop and manage your own foundation, working closely with your relatives and / or professional advisers to ensure to carry out your wishes.
You can name the fund, or you can remain anonymous.
What next?
Consult with your professional adviser and solicitor for advice to ensure that your family, friends and the causes you believe in are provided for in the way you wish.
If you already have a will, the simplest way to make minor changes or additions is through Codicil. This is an instruction that your solicitor will help with to be kept in your existing will.
