Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston is playing host to a free seminar that will be focusing on the challenges facing the not for profit sector.
The event, ‘Managing your Reserves’, is scheduled for Thursday 22 May from 9.30am-4.30pm, and will be hosted by the leading audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill.It promises to be a fantastic forum for Trustees, governors, key senior staff and finance directors working for non-profit organisations to share ideas and experiences, as well as networking with others in the sector.
Anne Selby, Chief Executive of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust will be the keynote speaker at the event, and will be reflecting on the building of the Brockholes reserve and the challenges the Trust faced to make the ambitious project become a reality.The seminar will also include creative experts from Contact Theatre who will be running an interactive session and a special guest speaker. Lunch, refreshments and a tour of the Brockholes reserve will be provided too.
Brockholes Nature Reserve is a 250 acre nature reserve based on the site of an old quarry. The Lancashire Wildlife Trust used their expertise to create habitats for lots of different wildlife and opened it to the public in April 2011, it includes an iconic floating Visitor Village that plays host to a stunning restaurant, shops and top quality conferencing and wedding facilities.
