The land, which lies just off Cranberry Lane in South Darwen, has already received planning consent for 138 houses. North West based McDermott Homes, the developer that purchased the land, is set to commence work on site in the next few weeks.
David Bailey, partner and chartered planning and development surveyor at Lea Hough commented: “We’re delighted to have been involved in this transaction, which will pave the way for much needed new build homes in the area. Just like any other area of the country, Lancashire is under pressure to meet its house building targets, and this project will contribute towards this.
The land sale is one of several similar projects in Lancashire that Lea Hough are involved with.
