Clitheroe-based design and marketing consultants Latitude Studios has appointed Jay Lynchehaun, founder of brain tumour charity Inbetweenears, as a trainee graphic designer.
It is a change in direction for his career after he was forced to give up his job as a senior mechanic after being diagnosed with a grade four gemistocytic astrocytoma tumour, one of the most malignant types of cancer.The company said: "We saw the work he had designed for his charity at a charity golf event they had organised and offered him the chance to join us and begin his new future as a designer." Jay's story has attracted local press and TV attention as well as national radio.
