The shoe is named for Arthur Dixon, a tough-tackling defender who not only played 183 times for Burnley after joining the club in 1900, but who was closely linked with the shoe trade as the son of a cobbler.
Marco Vaghetti, who founded his shoe company this summer, said: “Burnley FC asked us to create a style of shoe which would be appropriate for all supporters, whether they are on the terrace, down the pub, or in corporate hospitality."LANX specialises in designing business-casual shoes, so the design brief was a challenge we were excited by and thrived on."
Production of the Dixon was limited to 100 pairs, and the shoes are now available for £125.
