Two East Lancashire businesses have come together to provide landlords and second homeowners the opportunity to find out how upcoming changes to tax and rental profits will affect them.
The free event, to be held at Moorhouse’s Brewery in Burnley on Wednesday February 10 will guide buy-to-let landlords through the new legislation, which will alter the way rental profits are calculated and lead to increased tax bills.
Simon Westwell, lettings director at Petty’s will offer advice on making the most of the growing rentals marketplace by matching property portfolios to target markets and identify investment strategies to help maximise return.
Petty’s Residential sales director Ian Bythell will also consider the future of the residential sales and lettings markets.
They will also talk through the changes to Stamp Duty Land Tax and discuss the benefits of restructuring property portfolios, including changing methods of ownership to buy property through a company.
“If you are a landlord or second homeowner – or if you are considering the buy-to-let market, this event will enable you to make informed decisions in terms of managing your portfolio.”
The seminar will be followed by a question and answer session with the panel from Cassons and Petty’s. For more details about the event, which will run from 6pm to 8pm and include a pie and pea supper and an optional tour of the brewery, email [email protected]
