Lancaster University is to host a series of workshops designed to promote secure digitalisation across the region, by helping businesses embrace next-generation digital strategies.
Beyond Cyber Security will consist of five webinars developed through the Secure Digitalisation University Enterprise Zone as part of the university's wider Cyber Works programme. The project is headed by senior lecturer Dr Daniel Prince.
Each webinar, hosted by Dr Prince, will feature guest speakers and thought leaders from the digital world, talking on a range of topics within the field.
It is also hoped that the series will encourage companies to seek out and use the resources of the experts at Lancaster University through access to the university’s Cyber Works knowledge and business exchange support.
Dr Prince added: "These webinars as Beyond Cyber Security, that form part of Cyber Works, are trying to put forwards a positive message. Through proper cyber security, businesses can grow and thrive across different platforms.
"At the heart of what we do, we encourage others to embrace security technology and practices, to help them do better and be more successful, rather than just protect against possible attack."
The first webinar takes place at 13:30 on November 30. Click here for further information about Beyond Cyber.
