Delphi Medical, which specialises in providing drug and alcohol treatment across the UK, is to create 20 new full-time positions following recent contract wins.
The Lancaster firm has done deals to provide its services into Lancashire and Staffordshire prisons, and will increase its number of full-time staff to 45 and part-time employees to 40.
Delphi was established in by 2007 Dr Ian Guinan and Dr John Richmond to treat substance abuse by abstinence, rather than offering medical alternatives.
In addition to its offender health programme which is delivered in prisons, Delphi provides its services into the community by assisting GPs and the NHS, providing criminal justice treatment systems with the government and clinical systems and training to regional organisations.
Dr Ian Guinan said: “This recent expansion is the result of years of hard work and dedication by our team, sticking to our principles and delivering effective results as part of our mission to raise the standard of drug and alcohol treatment in the UK.
“We have a proven track record in Lancashire and as a result we’re now being asked to take over services further afield.”
