Businesses are being urged to attend the Lancashire Hotspots event taking place on 9 June from 8am – 10am at Lancashire Manor Hotel, to discover what the opportunities are in West Lancashire for business including skills, investment, ambition and collaboration.
This Lancashire Hotspots event, sponsored by West Lancashire Borough Council, is the third of a series taking place around the county during 2016. It will link directly to the Lancashire Hotspots feature in the July-August edition of Lancashire Business View magazine where the focus will be on West Lancashire.
Kim Webber, chief executive of West Lancashire Borough Council will take part in a short Q and A before a debate with panel members including Maria Gilling, principal, West Lancashire College; Andy Wood, HR director, Trelleborg Offshore UK; Steve Jones, managing director, Fairbanks and coun Frank Mckenna, West Lancashire Borough Council’s Economic Development Champion.
“It offers perspectives from the across the landscape of the private and public sectors and delves into the business fabric of the county’s districts.
Coun McKenna said: “West Lancashire is a great place to do business and this event will provide an excellent showcase of what is available for businesses in the borough. “West Lancashire Borough Council is happy to sponsor this occasion. The Council Plan shows we are ambitious for the local economy and we are committed to retaining and growing jobs, increasing skills levels and encouraging business and wealth creation.”
