An award-winning Lancashire food group is reeling in customers to enjoy a week long celebration of sensational seafood themed events across its pubs.
The Seafood Pub Company is proudly launching Seafood Week from the 7th – 14th October for the second consecutive year; providing the perfect opportunity to bring the coast to life through a number of seafood inspired events taking place across all ten pubs throughout the week.Tying in with National Seafood Week, which encourages people to eat fish more often, each venue within the Seafood Pub Company group will be showcasing its very best seafood produce. Events include a Bavarian Night at the Barley Mow, Ready, Steady, Cook – Round 2 at the Oyster & Otter, and a World Seafood Platter Special at all venues.
Jemma McAnespie, marketing manager of the group said: “Seafood Week was a huge success last year, with a number of our events taking place in a marquee at the Derby Arms.“This year, we are excited to be hosting events at several of our pubs; we have created events and menus which showcase a fabulous array of exciting seafood dishes, giving diners the chance to try something a little different.
“Our Wine vs Cyder final at the Farmers Arms is already very nearly sold out, so we’re encouraging anyone wishing to attend the events, to purchase tickets as soon as possible!”The highlight of the week will be a Champagne Jacquart Dinner held at the Derby Arms on Saturday 8th October. There will be live music and a number of dishes on offer; each course will be paired with a premium champagne.
“The menus we have created for Seafood Week are perfect for anyone wishing to try seafood and experience a combination of innovative, exciting flavours,” said Antony Shirley, the group’s executive chef. “We want customers to relax, enjoy the fantastic food and drink on offer, but also leave feeling a little more educated about the benefits of incorporating seafood into their diet.”
