Old English Breakfast Pork, created by master butcher Kevin Berkins, has been named best Traditional Sausage during National Sausage Week.
Kevin is half of the father/daughter team which runs the Fence Gate in Pendle and the Eagle at Barrow.
The butcher and chef has won a string of awards over the last half century, and said: "This award is testament to a lifetime of working with food. I am proud we’ve been recognised in this way.
"Many of our guests and customers at The Fence Gate and The Eagle often remark that our sausages are the best in the country. I am happy they’ve been found to be correct!"
In addition to his skills as a butcher, Kevin is also a gin master, and The Fence Gate holds the Guinness World Record for the most varieties of gins (623) available to try.
