KW Designed Solutions are a leading global designer and manufacturer of special purpose pressure testing vessels, pressure testing equipment and associated pressure control systems, based in North Business Park, Chorley, Lancashire.
They have gone from strength-to-strength, since their formation in 2004, supporting industry & research worldwide in the oil & gas, subsea engineering, materials science, universities, nuclear, pharmaceutical and scientific sectors.
The local company are pleased to report a record financial year; increasing their turnover fivefold, moving into a new 8.000 sq. ft. building and expanding their team from 13 to 20. They have restructured and rebranded the company; introducing the KW Group to manage KW Designed Solutions and launched a new company called KW Pressure Testing. This has given them a solid platform to build upon, in line with their ambitious future-growthplans.
This coming Autumn sees the launch of their new state-of-the-art, in-house, pressure testing facility which will offer Hyperbaric, Hydrostatic, Gas, Submerged Gas, Environmental, Full Qualification, Type Approval and Factory Acceptance Testing.
Using fully automated pressure and temperature control systems will ensure compliance with industry standards. The test facility will enable product designers and material manufacturers to develop innovative technology far more quickly and easily.
AN AMBITIOUS INNOVATIVE SKILLED NORTH WEST COMPANY
KW employ a highly-specialised local team who are used to solving complicated briefs; designing, manufacturing and installing intelligent solutions that automate, control and simulate environmental conditions.
They are currently manufacturing the largest pressure vessel, they have produced, for a leading global offshore and subsea products manufacturer. Measuring 2.5 metres in diameter, with an internal depth of 8 metres and the ability to operate at pressures of 690 bar / 10,000 psi.
Their ambitious plans have also seen the creation of a new internal Controls division; developed to provide the specification and design of automated systems and process control equipment.
This will open-up their expertise to a wide range of industries including oil and gas, pharmaceutical, food, nuclear and allied industries. And they don’t stop there; expanding globally into both new and existing markets, in North and South America, Canada, Norway and a partner company in France.
