Preston-based sportswear manufacturer Kukri has announced record profits for the last year.
Kukri Sports provides bespoke teamwear and leisurewear to organisations such as national governing bodies, schools, universities and grassroots clubs and teams around the world.
Its more high-profile customers include the Commonwealth Games teams representing both England and Canada, Lancashire, Somerset and Yorkshire county cricket clubs, England Athletics, British Gymnastics, Ulster Rugby, England Lacrosse and Loughborough University.
Though the company faced a worldwide pandemic, supply chains struggles and inflated operating costs as a consequence of Brexit, management has been able to report that group sales rose by 26 per cent and operating profits rise by 130 per cent.
The year ahead promises to be an exciting one for Kukri, with its third cycle of Commonwealth Games working alongside Team England and Team Canada. There are also plans in the pipeline for Birmingham 2022 including an upcoming Team England kit reveal with retail ranges available for fans.
