International Sportswear Company, Kukri, has added Leicestershire County Cricket Club to its expanding cricket portfolio after signing a three-year kit deal to become the club’s official kit supplier until 2017.
Kukri, which provides kit for numerous leading clubs and international sports teams, will supply Leicestershire’s playing and training kit for the start of the new season.Kukri GB sales director, Scott Gamble said: “We are delighted to add Leicestershire to the Kukri team sheet and have worked hard to create a kit which the players and fans will both approve of.
“The Leicestershire deal is a huge achievement for Kukri, we are now proud kit sponsors to four of the country’s major county cricket clubs which demonstrates the level of respect we have as a sportswear brand within the sport of cricket.”Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s chief executive, Mike Siddall, commented: “I am delighted that Kukri has agreed to supply the Club’s kit. Kukri were brilliant in providing top quality kit for our trip to the Champions League in 2011 at very short notice so I am really pleased that we have agreed a three year deal with them.”
As part of the sponsorship deal, Kukri will receive perimeter branding within Leicestershire’s Grace Road Stadium, tickets to all of its major match days, whilst all replica shirts, training kit and leisurewear will be sold online, through the team and Kukri websites.Kukri currently supplies bespoke sports kit for over 76 different sports to teams, clubs, universities and schools worldwide, and will supply all England delegation and competition wear for this year’s Commonwealth Games.
