Crisis communication software has been an area of intense development over the past decade or so. In spite of this, as platforms they’re still relatively novel to most people not directly involved in their administration.
By Richard Stephenson, CEO, YUDU.Following the Kingsway Fire of 2015, YUDU developed a solution from the ground up (called “Sentinel”) for one of our existing clients, the Queen’s lawyers Farrer & Co. What was particularly interesting about the Kingsway Fire is that it underscored the sort of chaos that comparatively more minor incidents can unleash upon businesses.
What we discovered from working with Farrer, as well as working alongside Usecurity experts, was that crisis communication software needed to satisfy a quite broad range of concerns. Chief among these are, expectedly, management concerns about fulfilling a duty of care towards employees, hence why secure communication channels are the core of crisis comms software.
