KBL Solicitors, which operates offices in Blackburn and Bolton, has announced a new appointment while promoting an existing member of its team to partner.
Experienced solicitor Gareth Brewerton joins the firm to strengthen its corporate and commercial offering.
Prior to joining KBL, Gareth was head of legal at the UK’s largest plant hire specialists, Sunbelt Rentals, part of the FTSE Top 20, Ashtead Group. Gareth’s specialisms include mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions including takeovers, mergers, reconstructions and joint ventures.
Meanwhile Kathryn Maclennan, who joined the firm four years ago, has been promoted to partner.
Kathryn has been instrumental in establishing the firm’s insolvency offering and now heads up an experienced team of five advising on a broad range of corporate
restructuring and recovery issues providing strategic advice and advisory support to creditors and debtors.
Kathryn holds more than 20 years of experience in the insolvency arena and is an associate member of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
