Blackburn-based Roebucks Solicitors has been bought out of administration by AWH Solicitors of Manchester, saving all 50 jobs.
Roebucks has been operating in Blackburn for more than 100 years and opened offices in Clitheroe and Leyland within the last decade.
AWH was established in 2017 and has been growing rapidly. The acquisition of Roebucks, the first outside of its personal injury specialism, takes its headcount to 150 and turnover to more than £14m. The firm's purchases to date have been backed by Sandton Capital Partners, a special situations investments fund.
Abdul Hussain, managing director of AWH, said: “We are committed to growing the firm through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth and are delighted to complete the acquisition of Roebucks Solicitors.
“We will retain the Roebucks brand and their staff who will now also become part of the AWH Solicitors group. We are really looking forward to working with the team and extending our footprint into Lancashire.
“This latest acquisition forms part of our intention to complete £100m-worth of quality acquisitions in the next two years that complement and enhance our existing services and team."
