James Hall & Co. Ltd has held a successful social weekend with its SPAR independent retailers in the North of England.
Just over 270 people came together for the two-day event that saw retailers under starter’s orders on the Friday evening with a virtual race night in the plush surroundings of Chester Racecourse.
This was followed up by a glitzy three course gala dinner at the Crowne Plaza hotel on the Saturday evening, finished off with a live band and dancing.
A Marie Curie fundraiser was also held as part of the gala dinner on the Saturday with a grand total of £3,490 raised for SPAR UK’s principal charity partner.
It was the first time in three years that James Hall & Co. Ltd has held its social retailer event for independent SPAR retailers, and it complements the business focussed company update that was held last autumn.
Peter Dodding, sales director at James Hall & Co. Ltd and SPAR Northern Guild Chairman, said: “It was a terrific weekend in Chester and I was delighted to see so many of our retail family from across the North of England were able to join us for a celebration.
“It has been a long three years since our last social event in 2019, and we have overcome so much in that period through resilience, togetherness, and a willingness to succeed.
“As a company, we are now looking forward to kicking on in the second half of the year, and to supporting our SPAR retailers to achieve their ambitions in the remainder of 2022.”
