J Mallinson acquires Shropshire firm

Ormskirk-based sports pitch specialist J Mallinson has acquired ALS Contract Services from Agrovista for an undisclosed sum.

Telford-based ALS is a sports turf contractor of 30 years which provides professional grounds maintenance including large scale pesticide spraying, end of season renovation, aeration of sports turf and drainage works.

J Mallinson has a 45-year history of delivering sports fields for football, cricket, horse racing, golf, and other facilities. The acquisition extends the company's geographic coverage and gives access to a greater depth of resources, while bolstering its sports pitch construction and turf management capacity.

Together, they can provide a single point of contact and turnkey solution for sports pitch construction and turfing solutions.
