Burnley-headquartered Holker IT has acquired a business with a strong focus in the education sector as its ambitious plans for expansion get underway.
The company has bought PC EduTech, a Bury-based IT solutions and support business, for an undisclosed sum.
In a statement, Holker IT said the deal was part of its plan to become “the leader in transformational IT solutions and support” in the North of England.
Founded in 2010, PC EduTech offers ICT support solutions in the education sector.
Matthew Metcalfe, managing director of Holker IT, said: “This marks the start of an expansion plan for Holker that will not be ignored in the industry.
“PC EduTech is a people-centric business, which perfectly aligns with us, and opens up an exciting opportunity to build on what we already have.”
He added that the acquisition: “Will take us seamlessly into the next chapter of growth.”
