A brand new concept for the north of England, two venues in both Lancashire and Yorkshire, quality speakers and a unique platform for the regions event sector to demonstrate its skill and know-how is quickly making the forthcoming Great Northern Events Expo the ‘got to go to’ event for anyone interested in delivering or buying event services.
The two-centred Great Northern Events Expo, which is taking place at Bolton’s Macron Stadium on 22nd March 2016 and at Elland Road, Leeds on 15th Setember 2016 has been specifically designed to promote and support the booming northern events industry; it promises delegates a one-stop shop for all their event needs including indoor, outdoor, mass participation, corporate and experiential events.High profile speakers confirmed to speak at the events include: Peter Dodd, marketing and sales director of Welcome to Yorkshire, who will speak about the success of the Tour de France Grand Depart, and its legacy for the region; Paul Reed, general manager of the Association of Independent Festivals, who will be sharing his extensive knowledge of the live industry as well as insights into the implementing strategic development and growth within his organisation; and Neil Simpson, director of Fascinate Social Marketing who will share his thoughts on creating a strategy for using social media to help market your events at the Yorkshire event, and how to use events to create leads and business growth at the North West event.
Commenting on the growing interest in the Great Northern Events Expo, Mandy Parkinson, commercial manager at GNEE said: “The UK events industry is now worth £39bn per year and a large proportion of that is based in the north of England and Scotland and it makes absolute sense for the region to have its own show, so we can do business on our doorstep, which without doubt, bolsters the regional economy. “This is the region’s only events expo and fills a void that has been in the industry for many years. As well as a wide range of exhibitors, we’ve lined up some impressive speakers who will provide delegates with insightful content and advice that they can use to develop their own events further. Interest is certainly gathering pace, not only from delegates and we’ll shortly be announcing our first tranche of exhibitors, so my advice to anyone who works in the northern events sector would be register as soon as possible and guarantee your place.”Enjoyed this?
