McMurrays Haulage can build on its recent success with a new Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) Bronze Award which will give it access to more of Europe's biggest customers.
The family-run firm, based in Accrington, has been recognised for its safety, efficiency and environmental protection.The FORS seal of approval opens new doors, as some of Europe's largest companies will only deal companies holding the accreditation.
It caps a successful two years for McMurrays Haulage, which have also seen a 36 per cent increase in staffing numbers, and the opening of a new warehouse to cope with additional demand, expand the company's pallet network operation and to diversify.The warehousing side of the business, grown following a £750,000 expansion project, includes a 16,000 sq ft warehouse and transit shed on the 5.2 acre site.
