Robert Sheffrin has been elected president of the Lancashire and South Lakeland branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Robert's globe-spanning career includes venture capital fund management, director of the UK Business Angels Association, adviser to governments and traditional finance roles.
He is currently investment director for the Investment Readiness Programme at the University of Central Lancashire. He succeeds Neil McMillan, a partner at McMillan & Co LLP. who led during 2019-2020.
Robert will represent Lancashire and South Lakeland’s 1,860 members, overseeing the delivery of member services, including professional development courses, and technical and networking events. He will be supported in the role by deputy president Shru Morris, CEO of Napthens Solicitors.
The announcement was confirmed at a virtual AGM.
