Pendle Hill Properties in partnership with Longridge Town Council and Love Longridge spearheaded this initiative.
The ‘Easter Egg Colouring Competition’ saw local children challenged to colour in their eggs, before handing them into 13 participating shops over the Easter period. Not only did the competition provide a fun Easter activity for children, but also promoted and supported #ShopLocal in Longridge.
After careful consideration and the difficult task of picking a winner, Longridge Town Council selected Leah Roberts from Longridge C of E Primary School for her fantastic design; winning a giant Easter bunny and a giant Easter egg.
Thomas Turner, Sales Director of Pendle Hill Properties, said: “The number of entries we have received this year really has been tremendous and the quality of the designs were just incredible.
“It has been brilliant to see the Longridge high street so busy and I would like to say a massive thank you to all our participating shops for being involved.”
Rose Adamson from Longridge Town Council, commented: “Thank you to Pendle Hill Properties for supporting this competition once again. What a fantastic initiative it has been for our local school children and our shops, who have both thoroughly enjoyed it. We can’t wait for next year already!”
Ellie, from participating shop Picnic, said: “It has been wonderful to see how many entries we have had this year, while it has also been great to see all of the children and their parents visiting our shop. We hope to see everyone again next year!”
