MCI co-founder Andy Garnett has established development, investment, land promotion and housebuilding firm Breck.
Breck, based at Blackpool Technology Park, has three divisions. Breck Investments focuses on commercial property investment opportunities; Breck Developments concentrates on strategic land opportunities and special projects; while Breck Homes specialises in the construction of affordable properties for registered providers.
Upcoming projects include a scheme of 55 affordable homes at Claughton-on-Brock in Lancashire and eight luxury apartments in Bramhall near Stockport.
Andy started his property career with Barratt Homes in Manchester in 2004 and then spent several years with Irish housebuilder McInerney Homes before going on to start MCI Developments.
MCI became one the North West’s largest affordable housing developers and was sold to Keepmoat Homes in 2017.
Andy said: “It was great to be part of the MCI story, a business we built from scratch and which grew very quickly to attract the interest of one of the UK’s largest housebuilders.
“Since leaving the business last year, I’ve been looking for a new challenge. With Breck, the focus will be on select property investment and development opportunities, as well bringing forward major regeneration projects in the affordable housing arena. We have been very busy already.”
