National retailer Home Bargains has invested around £4m in its new Hyndburn store which officially opens its doors on Saturday.
One of the UK’s largest family-run retailers, Home Bargains is also creating 97 new jobs at the outlet on The Peel Centre on Whitebirk Drive.
The new store will join more than 500 outlets operated by the business across the UK, attracting more than five million customers a week.
Opening approximately 50 stores a year, Home Bargains says it is bucking current trends in the industry.
Jordan Gillman, the new Hyndburn store manager, said: “The Peel Centre will be a great location for us.
“I started my Home Bargains journey back in January 2020 as a store manager at our Burnley Retail Park site, having worked in the retail sector for over a decade.
“However, helping to launch the new Hyndburn store will be an accomplishment I’ll cherish for the rest of my career.”
The new store also includes an on-site café and bakery. To mark the opening the company is donating £2,000 to Milly’s Smiles, a children’s cancer charity based in Great Harwood.
