The Holiday Inn Blackpool, set to open its doors in May, has now filled all roles on its senior management board.
The six-strong team includes Mark Winter, general manager, who is leading on the management of the hotel opening. He is supported by Laura Taylor, director of sales & marketing, and Paul Powell, operations manager.
The trio have already spearheadad a recruitment campaign which has filled more than 70 positions to date.
Also joining the team is David Cheung, financial controller, who is responsible for all financial aspects of the hotel and restaurant.
On the food and beverage side, Katherine Gonzales-Moore has joined the team at Marco’s New York Italian restaurant as restaurant manager while Phil Andrews has been appointed as head chef.
Situated on the ground floor of the hotel, the restaurant is inspired by Pierre White’s Italian heritage and his love for New York, serving a mixture of Italian-inspired dishes and American classics including fresh pasta, handmade pizza and steaks.
Mark Winter, said: "We’ve now got a fantastic senior team in place, all of which have already been instrumental in the run up to the official opening of the Holiday Inn Blackpool in May – we're just so excited to open our doors now and we have lots of exciting things in the pipeline for our customers."
Rob Ledson, operations director of RBH Hospitality Management, added: "We are absolutely delighted to have our senior leadership team in place for what will be an incredible hotel in Blackpool. As the management company for the hotel, we know that having Mark and his team at the helm, we are confident that not only will the hotel be a commercial success, but it will also contribute to the Blackpool market and be a catalyst for further business to hit the resort.”
The Holiday Inn Blackpool will offer 144 rooms as well as conference and events facilities. It is council owned and part of the town’s wider regeneration project, Talbot Gateway.
The development is conveniently placed off the side of the train station, offering a central hub for both business and leisure guests arriving in Blackpool.
