At Education Business Partnership (NW), their ethos is to help to make a difference to the lives of young people by preparing them for the world of work and life beyond school.
Their specialised programmes and services, in partnership with local schools and the wider business community, help to inspire students and embed a stable careers programme.
For young people still at school, engaging with businesses and positive employer role models as well as experiencing the world of work through placements and site visits can help them to make important decisions about their future and next steps.
Education Business Partnership (NW) practices what they preach and as well as hosting over 25 work placements for local high school students at their head office in Accrington over the last few years, they are really pleased to welcome Hollie Maringo and Kaseem Sheikh to their team.
Hollie joins Education Business Partnership (NW) as their first ever business administration apprentice and is a great addition to their school’s liaison team. Kaseem has had a career change and the company is supporting him on this new journey by investing in industry standard qualifications for him as he joins their health, safety and welfare team.
“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Hollie and Kaseem to the team helping us to grow as a business but also encouraging other businesses to give young people a chance to help them develop and get a step up in their careers” said Emma Woan, director and co-founder of Education Business Partnership (NW).
“Whilst apprenticeships offer a good career starting point for many young people, work experience is also an integral part of their own development helping to gain an insight into a particular business or industry”.
Education Business Partnership (NW) sources and manages over 6,000 work experience placements each year for schools across the county and acts as a support network for companies who wish to get involved and support their local high school in a safe and coordinated way. Through our independent careers advice and guidance services they can also signpost students to suitable apprenticeship opportunities.
