Cassidy + Ashton has appointed Mark Slocombe to head up its principal designer service which helps construction clients to comply with health and safety regulations.
Mark, a health and safety specialist and former ambulance paramedic, will be based at the architectural, planning and surveying practice's Preston office.
In his new role, Mark will provide advice on a range of major residential and commercial client projects to achieve compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015). His will oversee the management of health and safety on new build schemes, refurbishment and maintenance projects across a variety of sectors.
Peter Harris, architect at Cassidy + Ashton’s Preston office said: “The continual growth of work across all services has made it necessary to expand this important area of expertise within the practice.
“Mark’s role is to give clients and regulatory bodies the reassurance that we adhere to the strict regulations placed on the construction sector and that considerations for health and safety are at the heart of every regeneration project that we work on.”
